if you didn't know, there has recently been a release of a sneak peak of Gem Harvest (you can watch it here!)
and of course, a certain portion of the fandom are getting pissed over the clip, which is honestly starting to get on my nerves because they do this every time a promo of an episode comes out.
the reasoning over the bickering is because "it's a filler episode!1!!!!111" "it has a misleading title1!!!11!!!1!" "it doesn't have homeworld gems!!!111!!1" yadda yadda
for starters, rebecca has said that no episode is supposed to be filler, as every episode contributes to the story in their own way. the only "filler" is really say uncle , which isn't even canon, but even in that episode steven masters one of his powers.and
but of course this fandom doesn't listen as they call out an episode being filler just because it doesn't have someone dying/singing/fusing/crying
and this episode does not have a misleading title. it says "Gem Harvest". the clip shows gems harvesting crops.
and what peridot said back in catch and release-
"Oh my stars... You're going to harvest me?"
this episode was confirmed to be a 22 minute long special, who knows what is even going to happen + i highly doubt that they would spend the whole episode gathering crops.
and just in general fans are getting their expectations way too high. you can't just judge an episode by a 2 minute clip, actually wait and watch the episode instead of automatically calling it a filler.

guys, I'm honestly pretty nervous.
the hurricane is hitting where I live, and while we're going to our cousin's house im literally praying that no one I know or love gets hurt (and I don't even think I believe in God!)
